Drillers Project Gallery

The Maintenance Millwright – CNC Equipment is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining CNC machines, manual machines, and related production equipment. This role also supports preventative maintenance, machine installations, facility maintenance, contractor coordination, and maintenance documentation.

The ideal candidate is organized, safety-focused, mechanically skilled, self-motivated and self-driven and able to respond quickly when equipment issues affect production.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machinery, manual machines, and related equipment
  • Complete planned and preventative maintenance activities
  • Respond with urgency to machine-down situations
  • Install, repair, modify, and maintain production equipment and work cells
  • Use machine manuals, technical documents, schematics, and vendor resources to diagnose equipment issues
  • Identify, source, and replace parts as required
  • Help ensure equipment is safe, reliable, and capable of holding required tolerances
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, forms, logbooks, receipts, and machine files
  • Assist with ordering spare parts, lubricants, supplies, and maintenance materials

Qualifications

  • Industrial Mechanic / Millwright Red Seal Certification
  • 3–5 years of experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment
  • Experience with CNC machinery and basic CNC operation
  • Ability to read machine manuals, mechanical and electrical schematics, assembly instructions, and troubleshooting guides
  • Knowledge of industrial mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems
  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Forklift certification, or willingness to obtain certification
  • Ability to operate or become qualified to use overhead cranes and scissor lifts
  • Computer skills and the ability to complete maintenance records
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and good hand-eye coordination

Overview

We’re looking for an Intermediate Design Engineer to join our team at our Canadian facility.

In this role, you’ll be hands-on in both customer-driven design work and new product development. You’ll help turn ideas and requirements into production-ready solutions that meet real-world demands in tough environments.

What You’ll Do

Design & Development

  • Design and improve products used in mineral exploration, and similar fields

Create and maintain:

  • 3D models and engineering drawings
  • Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Routings, quality plans, and work instructions
  • Inspection and test plans
  • Implement design updates based on customer needs and engineering changes

Collaboration & Support

  • Work closely with engineering, customer service, and costumers to define requirements
  • Support sales with preliminary designs and costing for quotes
  • Participate in design reviews and product development discussions
  • Assist with R&D and continuous improvement initiatives

Systems & Process

Overview

Dimatec Inc. is seeking an internal/external candidate to work as a CNC Machinist Level 2 in the Machine Shop. **Climate Control Shop**. This will be an hourly position reporting to the Production Manager.  At this time, this position will be required to work the morning shift – from 6:00 am. to 2:00 pm., Monday to Friday. Candidate must be able to modify hours/days of work when required as per vacation, unexpected absence, and training requirements.

 Qualifications (including but not limited to)

  • High school graduate, with technical/academic machine shop training from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience setting up and operating manual and/or CNC machines.
  • Holds certificate (or ability to be trained) in overhead crane operation.
  • Experience to set up and use precision measuring instruments.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting CNC programs.
  • Intermediate blueprint reading and drawing / GD&T comprehension skills.
  • Ability to adapt to the latest technological advances.
  • Ability to train/mentor junior machine operators.
  • Physical ability to lift/push loads on a regular basis, perform repetitive tasks, and/or stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and good hand-eye coordination.
  • A combination of education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of the above qualifications.

Drillers Project Gallery

Overview

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Products Finishing, Level 1, is primarily responsible for cleaning graphite molds, as well as finishing metal-bond drilling and grinding tools in preparation for delivery to customers.

This is an hourly position and is subject to the policies that are given in the current version of Dimatec Human Resources Manual Document HR8.

Responsibilities (representative duties)

  • Clean graphite molds and prepare them for re-use in production.
  • Gauge and size semi-finished drill bits using belt sanders and other pneumatic hand tools.
  • Remove excess metal and graphite from semi-finished metal-bond drilling and grinding tools using water-jet equipment.
  • Spray painting finished drilling and grinding tools.
  • Maintain product serial number traceability throughout the finishing process.
  • Maintain work area as per continuous improvement guidelines.
  • Use logbooks.
  • Report all necessary work related information on work order packages.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma.
  • 0 – 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Physical ability to lift/push loads of up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis, perform repetitive tasks, and/or stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Mechanically inclined, attention to detail, with good hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to work in a dusty, noisy environment.
  • Equivalent experience may be evaluated in lieu of above qualifications.
