Dimatec is pleased to announce that effective July
29, 2009, our quality management system has been certified
to meet the requirements of the ISO 9001:2008 standard.
Since the company's beginnings in 1988, Dimatec has
adopted a total quality philosophy in our approach
to business. A documented quality management system
has been in place since 1992 with initial certification
to the ISO 9002 standard. In 1996, the system was reviewed
and changed to meet the requirements of the ISO 9001-94
standard. In 2003, the system was again reviewed and
changed to meet the requirements of the ISO 9001:2000
standard.
With the introduction of ISO 9001:2000, Dimatec viewed
the upgrade to this new standard as an opportunity
to examine the entire process from the point at which
an order is received to the point the product is delivered
to you the customer. Using the ISO 9001:2000 standard
as an operating model, every effort was made to streamline
the process with emphasis placed on enhancing efficiency,
eliminating waste and improving communications in order
to achieve the ultimate goal of improving customer
satisfaction. This upgrade process has affected every
aspect of the Dimatec organization and has essentially
re-invented the way we do business.
Building on the improvements that were initiated in
2003, the focus in upgrading our quality management
system to ISO 9001:2008 involved a greater emphasis
on risk management, compliance with statutory requirements,
improved control of outsourced processes and improvements
to data acquisition and data analysis techniques. In
addition, our quality objectives were expanded with
the intention of enhancing our commitment to you, our
valued customers, to provide high quality products
combined with excellent service.
