is pleased to introduce our new expanded range of geotechnical
core bits. This group of products is intended for use
in drilling softer sedimentary formations ranging from
very soft Clay, Gypsum or Talc to harder types of Sandstone.
All Dimatec Geotechnical Core Bits use thermally stable
polycrystalline diamond (TSP or Pax-PCD) elements as
their cutting media.
These types of bits are capable of very high rates
of penetration when compared to surface-set diamond
bits and are considerably more durable than the tungsten-carbide
core bits that are traditionally used in geotechnical
drilling applications. Dimatec geotechnical core bits
are available for use in a wide variety of standard
wireline and conventional core barrel sizes.
